View from Ossian's Grave
| Tim and I had "by accident" discovered
this ancient grave the last time we
were in Ireland and were so
charmed that I wanted to return. It is on top of one of the hills of
Antrim, and the road up is very steep and rocky, a cow path rather then
a road truthfully. We ignored the "no cars beyond this point"
sign and drove straight up the cow path. The grave site is awesome for
two reasons. First is that it is circa 8,300 BC!!! How mind boggling
that is to me, an American who thinks of history in terms of a couple
hundred years oftentimes. |
